Spare Set of M2 Rolls for IRM Model 2050 2-High Laboratory Rolling Mill

This spare roll set provides a matched pair of precision-ground work rolls for the IRM Model 2050 2-High Laboratory Rolling Mill. The set is intended primarily for hot rolling of small samples in research and process-development applications while retaining full capability for cold rolling of strip and sheet.

The rolls are manufactured from M2 high-speed tool steel, hardened to approximately 63–65 Rockwell C. M2 was selected for its hot hardness: it retains hardness and resists temper softening at elevated working temperatures. This can be beneficial during repeated contact with heated samples where surface softening, wear, or changes in roll geometry may become a concern. As a result, M2 is a practical choice for applications requiring both hot and cold rolling.

This spare roll set will be precision ground to match the customer's existing roll geometry. Final dimensions will be confirmed following inspection of the customer's current roll set.
