A compact, rigid 2-high rolling mill from Standard Machinery, well-suited for laboratory work, light production rolling, jewelry and precious metal applications, knife making and bladesmithing (Damascus billet reduction, forged stock flattening), and R&D environments where a small footprint and proven mechanical design are priorities. The 3" diameter x 5" face work rolls are driven by a 3 HP, 220V/3-phase AC motor, with roll gap adjusted independently on each side via two hand wheels for fine, tactile control over reduction and parallelism.
Condition
This mill is offered in as-is, where-is condition with no electrical controls installed. The mechanical drivetrain and frame are intact and the unit is ready to be wired into a customer-supplied control package. For most users, a simple Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) sized for the 3 HP/220V/3-phase motor is all that's needed to bring the mill back into operation. This is a straightforward path to a fully functional, speed-adjustable rolling mill at a fraction of the cost of a new machine.
Please note: The first image in this listing is a simulated rendering showing the mill as it would appear primed and finish-painted. The remaining images reflect the current as-is appearance of the actual machine being sold. IRM can quote priming, painting, and refurbishment as separate scopes if desired.
