IRM 4" Table Model Annealing and Soldering Atmospheric Belt Oven

I.R.M. Model 456 Electric Quench Strip Annealing Furnace

  • This annealing heat treating furnace is the answer to many requirements for bright annealing for copper based material and precious metal strip. The only furnace suitable for annealing heat treatable alloys.
  • The furnace is available in various length heat zones and multiple width muffles constructed to your exact needs.
  • Its unique capability to anneal metal that must be quick quenched makes the furnace unbeatable. This furnace is the only answer for metal alloys that must be quenched. If you have been making do with any other type of furnace, you are wasting time and effort with metal that is not properly annealed.

  • The only answer for precious metal alloys that must be quenched.
  • Compact size, 12 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 5 feet high.
  • It out produces standard type furnaces of four times its size.
  • This annealing heat treating furnace is equipped with solid state DC drive motor for setting speeds on the pinch rolls and recoiling unit. It is complete with all gauges, flowmeters, solid state digital readout temperature control and a stainless steel quench tank with hot air dryer, etc.

Annealing, Soldering And Heat Treating Oven

Simple design for safe, reliable operation -8" muffle with 6" high durability conveyor belt - variable speed forward and reverse. Digital readout of your operating temperature is controlled over and under by high reliability thermocouple with easy to read control instrument panel.

Highest capacity of any oven of similar size. Larger heat zone and more effective cooling chamber allows faster work process up to 2,1 000 F. Atmosphere supplied by safe non-explosive nitrogen bottles easily controlled by flow meter, available everywhere at lower cost than ammonia'.

Heat generated fast and even by four silicon carbide glow bars, guaranteed to last 2600 hours at maximum operating temperature. Easy to replace from outside. Available from stock at I.R.M. on same days notice. This unit can be quickly dismantled into three sections for easy rigging of close areas.


4" Belt Oven

  • This furnace is an electrically heated furnace with muffle and cooling chamber. The muffle design is a 3/16 nickel alloy D shape. The muffle is all Tig welded design and will extend through the furnace entrance and will have a sealed atmosphere.
  • The capacity is 4" wide; 2 1/2 high, 36"heat zone. It will be braced to provide a working space of 4" wide by 2 1/2" high. The max operating temperature is 1800 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • The panel board will be equipped with all necessary switches and controls for efficient operation. The panel will be wired and instruments will be tested before leaving our plant.
  • The belt is a 4" wide mesh balanced weave made of 314 stainless steel alloy.
  • Single Zone 70 CF/H ammonia dissociator with -80 degrees below zero dew point producing a gaseous atmosphere having a nitrogen content of 25% and a hydrogen content of 75% with a maximum residual ammonia content not in excess of 190 parts per million when operating at output of 2-3 PSIG when using a metallurgical grade anhydrous ammonia (99.9% pure).
